Game description:

Street Fighter II is the defining fighting game of the 1990s, brought to DOS by Capcom in 1992. This port of the arcade phenomenon set the standard for the genre, introducing an iconic eight-character rosterโ€”each with distinct special moves, ranges, and playstylesโ€”built around a deep six-button combat system.

The objective is to deplete your opponent’s health bar across a best-of-three match. While you can play on a keyboard using the arrow keys to move, jump, and block, pulling off quarter-circle motions and charge attacks is much more reliable if you configure a gamepad in the browser emulator settings.

  • Spacing is key: Success relies on positioning and timing rather than mashing buttons. Learn the reach of your normal attacks to poke opponents safely.
  • Anti-air defense: Jumping in is risky against a prepared opponent. Learn your chosen character’s best upward attack (like a shoryuken or a crouching heavy punch) to knock them out of the air.
