Game description:

Steel Talons is a 3D helicopter combat simulator originally developed by Atari for the arcade in 1991 and ported to the Sega Genesis. Players pilot an advanced AT-96 combat helicopter through various missions, taking on enemy ground forces, tanks, and aircraft. The Genesis version is notable for its ambitious attempt to recreate the untextured polygon graphics of the arcade original on 16-bit hardware.

The objective is to complete military strike missions by destroying designated targets and returning to base. Use the D-pad (mapped to the arrow keys) to control the helicopter’s movement and pitch. The face buttons (typically mapped to Z, X, and C on your keyboard) handle altitude adjustment, firing the machine gun, and launching missiles. Managing your altitude and speed is critical to surviving enemy fire.

Since the framerate can be sluggish due to the demanding 3D graphics, try to approach targets slowly and line up your shots from a distance. Keep an eye on your radar to locate primary targets and avoid getting flanked by anti-aircraft fire.
