Released by Delphine Software for the Sega Genesis in 1991, Another World is a groundbreaking cinematic action-platformer. You play as Lester Knight Chaykin, a young physicist transported to a dangerous alien world after a particle accelerator experiment goes wrong. The game relies on rotoscoped animation, atmospheric storytelling with no HUD, and trial-and-error gameplay where every screen is a lethal puzzle.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive the hostile environment and escape alongside an alien companion. Combat and platforming require precise timing, as environmental hazards and enemy attacks are instantly fatal.

Tips
- Your laser pistol has three functions: tap for a standard shot, hold briefly to create a temporary force field, and hold longer to charge a blast that breaks enemy shields and walls.
- Take your time to observe enemy patrol patterns and environmental traps on each new screen before moving.
- Lester can sprint by holding the run button and perform long running jumps to clear wider gaps.
