Snow Bros: Nick & Tom is a classic single-screen arcade platformer developed by Toaplan in 1990. How to Play
Your objective is to clear every enemy from the screen before the time limit expires (which spawns an invincible pumpkin head to chase you). You freeze enemies by repeatedly throwing snow at them until they are completely covered. Once an enemy is fully encased in a snowball, touch it and press the attack button to kick it. The snowball will roll along the platforms and bounce off walls, taking out any other enemies it touches. Arrow keys move your character, Z throws snow or kicks a snowball, and X jumps.
Tips
- Chain Reactions: Try to cluster enemies or wait until they line up. Destroying multiple enemies with a single kicked snowball causes special items to drop instead of just points.
- Potion Colors: Grab the colored potions that drop from enemies! Red increases your movement speed, Blue boosts your snow-throwing power, and Yellow extends your attack range. Green lets you briefly fly around the screen in an invincible balloon form.
- Ride the Snowball: You can jump on top of a fully formed snowball and ride it when it gets kicked. This is a great way to reach higher platforms quickly or escape a dangerous corner.
