🎮 Play Sky Robo Online (Arcade)

Sky Robo, also known as Tatakae! Big Fighter, is a horizontal scrolling shooter released by Nichibutsu in 1989 for the arcade. Notable as the developer’s final traditional arcade action game, it challenges you to pilot a versatile transforming craft through intense, alien environments. You must manage waves of enemy ships and take down massive mechanical bosses.

How to play

Survive each side-scrolling stage and defeat the end-level boss. Use the arcade joystick (mapped to your keyboard’s arrow keys) to maneuver. Press the fire button (Z) to shoot, and the transform button (X) to switch between your two ship forms. Press Insert Coin (Shift) and then Start (Enter) to begin your run.

Tips

• Swap forms strategically: Stay in the Jet Fighter form when you need a smaller hitbox to weave through dense fire, and switch to the Mechanized Droid form when you need 8-directional shooting to clear out swarms.
• Weaponize your transformation: The act of transforming creates a brief circular energy barrier that wipes out incoming enemy projectiles. Time your transformations to escape otherwise unavoidable damage.
