Game description:

Silva Saga is a classic role-playing game developed by Seta and released for the Famicom (NES) in 1992. As a traditional Japanese RPG and a continuation of the Minelvaton Saga, it features first-person turn-based combat where you explore a vast fantasy world to stop the return of an ancient evil. Although it never saw an official release outside of Japan, it remains notable for its expansive world and deep mercenary system that lets you command multiple types of troops in battle alongside your main hero.

How to Play

Your objective is to journey across towns and dungeons, battling monsters and recruiting mercenaries to aid your quest. The game relies on standard RPG navigation and menu-based commands for fighting, magic, and item management.

  • Movement: Arrow keys
  • A Button (Confirm/Interact): Z
  • B Button (Cancel): X
  • Start (Pause/Menu): Enter
  • Select: Shift

Tips

  • Mercenary Formations: You can hire troops from guilds in towns. Be sure to organize them strategically, as different units specialize in offense, defense, or magic.
  • Manage Your Troops: Mercenaries fight automatically but can take losses. Keep an eye on their numbers and replenish them at towns before heading into tough dungeons.
  • Talk to Everyone: Since this is a classic RPG, crucial clues about your next destination or hidden items are often revealed by chatting with townsfolk.
