Side Pocket is a classic pocket billiards arcade game developed by Data East and released in 1986. How to Play
Your objective is to sink all the balls on the table before running out of shots. You earn extra shots and bonus points by potting balls on consecutive turns or sinking them in numerical order. Use the joystick (arrow keys) to aim your cue, and press the action button (Z or X) to start the power meter, pressing it again to take the shot. You can also apply spin to the cue ball for advanced positional play.
Tips
Focus on maintaining a streak of consecutive pots; each consecutive sunk ball increases your score multiplier and helps replenish your limited shot count. Be on the lookout for the flashing “TRICK” pocket, which can award a substantial bonus if you sink a ball into it. Finally, use spin to ensure the cue ball stops in a favorable position for your next shot.
