SD Gundam G Generation is a turn-based strategy RPG released by Bandai in 1998 for the PlayStation. As the foundational entry in the long-running G Generation series, it allows players to command iconic mobile suits and relive historical scenarios spanning from the original Mobile Suit Gundam up through Char’s Counterattack.
How to Play
You command units on a grid-based map, managing energy (EN) and hit points (HP) to complete scenario objectives, which usually involve defeating enemy forces. Units gain experience in combat and can be upgraded. Standard PlayStation controls apply in the browser: use the arrow keys to move your cursor, the X key (mapped to the Cross button) to confirm actions, and the Z key (mapped to Circle) to cancel. Enter and Shift serve as the Start and Select buttons.
Tips
- Capture Enemy Units: When an enemy carrier ship is destroyed, any mobile suits deployed from it will surrender (showing a white flag). Move an allied unit next to them to capture them for your own army.
- Focus on Development: Evolving a unit into a new form (Development) once it reaches its maximum level will often unlock much more powerful mobile suits than you could otherwise acquire.
