Revolution X is an on-rails arcade shooter ported to the Super Nintendo (SNES) by Acclaim in 1995. Set in a dystopian future where the oppressive New Order Nation (NON) has banned all music, players must battle government forces to rescue the legendary rock band Aerosmith. Unlike the light gun arcade original, this SNES version relies on a standard controller to aim your crosshair and blast through waves of enemies and helicopters.
Players must survive auto-scrolling stages by quickly targeting and destroying enemies before taking damage. In the browser, use the Arrow keys (D-pad) to move your crosshair, Z or X to fire your machine gun, and Enter or Space to launch explosive CDs. Keep an eye on your ammunition, and remember to shoot background objects to uncover hidden hostages and power-ups.
Focus on enemy projectilesโyou can shoot incoming missiles and thrown objects out of the air to avoid taking damage. Save your limited supply of explosive CDs for heavily armored targets or dense groups of enemies.
