Game description:

ResQ is an ambitious, unreleased action game developed by Tempest Software for the Sega Genesis in 1994. Originally slated for release by Psygnosis before its cancellation, the game features a unique blend of gameplay styles, putting players in the role of a rescuer fighting off an interplanetary mercenary invasion. You will navigate through 2D on-foot action platforming sequences, pilot a 2D spacecraft, and even experience real-time 3D flight stages that push the technical limits of the native Genesis hardware.

How to Play

The objective is to rescue survivors and repel the alien forces attacking the mining colony. Use the default Sega Genesis controls: the D-pad to move, and A, B, or C to jump, shoot, and interact with your ship. In the browser, these map to the arrow keys for movement, and Z, X, and C for action buttons, with Enter acting as Start.

Tips

  • Pay close attention to your radar during the 3D flight sequences to locate targets and avoid incoming fire.
  • Switching between your ship and on-foot modes is necessary to access different parts of the levels and rescue all survivors.
