Raiden DX is a renowned vertically scrolling shoot ’em up released for the arcade by Seibu Kaihatsu in 1994. Acting as a deeply enhanced counterpart to Raiden II, it features completely redesigned enemy patterns, different item layouts, and three distinct gameplay courses tailored for varying skill levels.
How to Play
Your objective is to pilot a fighter craft, destroy enemy formations, and survive challenging enemy encounters across multiple stages. As an emulated arcade game in the browser, insert a coin using Shift (or 5), and press Enter (or 1) to start. Use the Arrow Keys to move your ship, press Z to fire your primary weapons, and press X to deploy a screen-clearing bomb.
Tips
- Course Selection: The game offers three routes. Training is a single special stage, Novice spans 5 stages, and Expert is a grueling 8-stage campaign.
- Secret Stage: If you manage to complete the entire Expert course without losing a life or using a single bomb, you will unlock a hidden 9th stage.
- Starting Bomb Type: Pay attention to the lightning bolt in the game’s logo during course selection; its color determines which type of bomb you will start with.
