Game description:

Puzznic is an arcade-style puzzle game published for DOS by Taito in 1989. The goal is to slide blocks left and right to match two or more identical symbols, clearing them from the screen before the time limit expires.

How to Play

The objective is to clear every block from the board. Blocks are affected by gravity and fall when pushed over an edge, but they cannot be lifted back up. Because a careless move can permanently trap a block, you must plan your matches carefully. Use the arrow keys to move your cursor and push blocks horizontally. The game is controlled using standard MS-DOS keyboard inputs.

Tips

  • Work from the top down: Clearing blocks at the bottom first often disrupts the structure above, leaving matching blocks stranded on different elevations.
  • Manage odd numbers: If a stage has three identical symbols, position them so all three connect simultaneously. Matching two first will leave the third isolated, forcing a restart.
