Released for DOS in 1994 by Adeline Software International, Little Big Adventure is a celebrated isometric action-adventure game. You play as Twinsen, a young hero who must escape captivity, uncover his planet’s magical heritage, and save the world of Twinsun from the oppressive dictator Dr. FunFrock.
How to play
Your goal is to explore the planet, solve puzzles, and fight off FunFrock’s clone soldiers using your bouncing Magic Ball. The game features a unique behaviour system where Twinsen can switch between Normal, Athletic, Aggressive, and Discreet stances, changing how he moves and interacts with the world. Controls use the standard DOS keyboard mapping, where the arrow keys steer Twinsen. You can toggle fullscreen by pressing Right Alt + Enter.
Tips
- The Magic Ball’s trajectory changes based on your current stance; use the Aggressive stance for fast, direct attacks and Normal for bouncing it off walls to hit enemies around corners.
- You take damage if you run into a wall in Athletic mode, so switch back to Normal or Discreet when navigating tight interior spaces.
- Clovers are essential for restoring health and magic, so search every cupboard, dustbin, and plant you can find.
