Puzz Loop, released by Mitchell Corporation in 1998, is the pioneering arcade puzzle game that created the entire “marble shooter” genre. Years before games like Zuma popularized the formula, this fast-paced original challenged players to stop an ever-advancing spiral of colored marbles from reaching the center of the screen.
How to Play
The objective is to clear all marbles before they fall into the central hole. Use the joystick (arrow keys) to rotate your cannon 360 degrees and press the action button (Z, X, or Ctrl) to fire your marble. Matching three or more marbles of the same color causes them to disappear. If you create a gap, the chain will pull backward to connect marbles of the same color on either side, allowing for massive chain reactions.
Tips
- Pay attention to the next marble loaded in your cannon so you can plan your shots and set up multi-step combos.
- Creating gaps is your best defense. When the chain snaps back together to connect matching colors, it temporarily pauses the line's advance.
- If the marbles get too close to the center, prioritize making quick matches near the front of the line to push them back.
