Game description:

Developed by Taito and released in 1999, this unique 3D fighting game brings the high-flying action of the arcade sequel to the PlayStation. Instead of a traditional flat stage, combatants float within a giant cubic arena, allowing for full 360-degree movement. You choose from a roster of psychics, each wielding elemental powers like fire, ice, or electricity, and engage in fast-paced battles that blend close-quarters martial arts with long-range projectile attacks.

How to Play

Your objective is to defeat your opponent by depleting their health bar before the timer runs out. Since the fighting takes place entirely in the air, movement is key—you can fly freely in all directions within the cube. Controls typically map the PlayStation’s D-pad to the arrow keys for movement, while the face buttons (often mapped to Z, X, A, and S on your keyboard) handle light attacks, heavy attacks, guards, and dashes. Press Enter for Start and Shift for Select.

Tips

  • Watch your Psycho Gauge: This meter at the bottom of the screen powers your special moves and barriers. It recharges slowly over time, or you can manually charge it by holding the guard and dash buttons together.
  • Master the dash: Quick dashes are essential for dodging incoming projectiles or rapidly closing the gap for a melee combo. Use them aggressively to keep your opponent guessing.
  • Use the arena boundaries: Knocking an opponent into the walls of the cube causes extra damage. Try to position yourself so your heavy attacks launch them outward.
