Game description:

Atari’s pioneering 1972 action game brings the classic table tennis simulation to DOS. Two players face off across a center line, sliding paddles vertically to volley a bouncing ball back and forth until someone misses. The mechanics remain simple but unforgiving, requiring fast reflexes and sharp focus as the rally speed steadily increases.

How to play

Score points by hitting the ball past your opponent’s paddle. Use the keyboard to move your paddle up and down to intercept the ball. You must anticipate the angle of the ball as it deflects off the top and bottom of the screen.

Tips

  • Pay attention to where the ball strikes your paddle; hitting it near the edges will send it back at a sharper angle.
  • Return to the center of your side after each hit to cover the most possible angles for the next volley.
