Released by Proma in 1983, Ozon I is an inventive vertical-scrolling arcade shooter. Instead of flying a ship through space, you control a ground-based anti-aircraft cannon tasked with defending allied tanks from relentless enemy bombing raids. The game shifts the traditional focus from mere survival to active defense, challenging you to shoot down incoming aircraft and intercept their bombs before they destroy your ground forces.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive the waves of enemy aircraft while keeping the ground tanks intact. If the tanks are destroyed or your cannon takes a direct hit, the game is over. Use the arrow keys to move your cannon, and the Z or X keys to fire at the targets above. Press Shift to insert a coin, and Enter to start the game.
Tips
- Prioritize incoming bombs and missiles over the aircraft themselves, as a single slip-up can destroy the tanks you are meant to protect.
- Establish a rhythm of sweeping fire to catch projectiles before they reach the bottom of the screen.
