Game description:

News (Set 2) is an alternate ROM revision of News, an obscure 1993 arcade puzzle game made by the Korean outfit Poby/Virus and programmed by Kwang-Ho Cho. It leans heavily on Puyo Puyo‘s formula: coloured blocks fall into a well, and connecting a group of the same colour clears them before the stack tops out. A photo of a woman looks on from the background, and short voice clips play whenever you rack up points.

How to Play

Clear connected groups of same-coloured blocks before they reach the top of the well. In this browser version, use the Arrow keys to move and drop the falling piece, Z and X to rotate it, Enter to start, and Shift to insert a virtual coin.
