Game description:

News (often listed as News Set 1) is an obscure arcade puzzle game released in 1993. Strongly inspired by the mechanics of Puyo Puyo, players must arrange and match falling coloured blocks to clear them from the board. The game stands out with its unique “EX” power-up block and photographic backgrounds that change as you progress through the stages.

How to Play

Match connected groups of coloured blocks to clear them before the screen fills up. For this web emulation, use the Arrow keys to move and drop pieces, and the Z and X keys to rotate them. Press Enter to start or insert virtual coins.
