Game description:

Monsters World is a 1994 arcade game developed by TCH. Widely recognized as an unofficial clone of the classic Super Pang (also known as Buster Bros.), this fixed-screen puzzle action game swaps the original characters and graphics for its own distinct assets. You play as a harpoon-wielding character trying to clear stages entirely of bouncing bubbles.

How to play

The objective is to destroy every bouncing bubble on the screen before time runs out or you lose a life. When you shoot a large bubble with your harpoon, it splits into two smaller ones, continuing until the smallest bubbles are finally popped. As an arcade game, it uses standard browser mappings: use the Arrow Keys to move left and right, press Shift to insert a coin, Enter to start, and Z or X to fire your harpoon straight up.

Tips

  • Stand slightly off-center when a large bubble is about to bounce over you, so you can safely shoot it from below without getting hit.
  • Try to pop smaller bubbles first to clear them out, preventing the screen from becoming too chaotic with dozens of tiny, fast-moving targets.
  • Watch out for power-ups that drop when bubbles pop; grab the double-harpoon or freezing clock to make difficult stages much easier.
