Mirax Set 2 is a classic pseudo-3D rail shooter released for the arcade in 1985 by Current Technology. Players pilot a spacecraft moving continuously over a forward-scaling landscape, dodging incoming missiles and energy blasts on a mission to destroy the massive enemy installation known as Mirax City.
Your objective is to survive the ten looping stages by shooting down enemy ships, ground structures, and giant bosses while avoiding their fire. Use the arrow keys to maneuver your spacecraft across the screen and press Z, X, or Space to fire your weapons.
Keep an eye out for special UFOs that appear at the top of the screen; destroying them will upgrade your starting manual lasers to automatic fire. Since the terrain constantly scrolls forward, prioritize dodging over trying to destroy every single ground target.
