Mikie is a single-screen action game by Konami, originally released in arcades in 1984 and ported to the Sega SG-1000 that same year. You control a high-school student named Mikie whose mind is anywhere but the classroom — and every teacher in the building intends to drag it back.
How to play
Each stage hides a set of hearts inside the school furniture — desks, chairs, lockers. Collect every heart on the screen to clear the stage and move to the next location. Teachers and hall monitors patrol continuously; press button A (Z on keyboard) to knock them aside and open a gap to the next heart. Enemies recover quickly, so grab what is nearby the moment they stumble and keep moving. Losing all lives ends the run.
Tips
- Plan a route through the hearts before you move — doubling back across open ground is the most common way to lose a life.
- Knock an enemy early in their patrol, not when they are already close; you get more clear distance to work with.
- Enemy patrol paths are consistent, so a route that clears a stage once will work on repeat visits to the same location.
