Game description:

Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament is a fast-paced top-down racing game developed by Supersonic Software and Codemasters, released for the Sega Genesis in 1994. Instead of traditional tracks, players race miniature toy vehicles across oversized household environments, dodging cereal boxes on the breakfast table or navigating around chemistry sets in the science lab. The game is famous for its chaotic multiplayer and variety of vehicles, each with its own handling style, ranging from sports cars and trucks to helicopters and hovercrafts.

How to play

In single-player mode, you must finish in the top two to advance. In multiplayer, the objective is to outrun your opponent and stay on the screen; if you fall too far behind the leader, you lose the point.

Tips

  • Anticipate the track: The camera stays tight on the vehicles, so learning the layouts and steering into corners before you see them is essential.
  • Know your vehicle: Handling varies significantly between vehicles. Hovercrafts have high momentum and require early steering, while buggies offer tight, responsive grip.
  • Use the environment: Watch out for hazards like spilled syrup, notebook spirals, and desk fans, which can easily throw you off course.
