Metal Saver is a 1994 arcade platformer from First Amusement, built on Data East’s Tumble Pop hardware. Up to two players pick from Hanbit, a martial artist, or Narae, a gun-toting fighter, and battle through single-screen stages in the same run-and-clear style as Snow Bros. and Bubble Bobble. The goal each level is simple: wipe out every enemy on screen, grab whatever bonuses they leave behind, and push on to the next stage before the giant spider bosses that punctuate the game show up to raise the difficulty.

How to play: Move with the arrow keys and attack with the action buttons — Z, X, and C in the browser, matching the original cabinet’s 8-way joystick and three-button layout. Press Enter to start and Shift to insert a coin. Clear every enemy on the screen to advance; playing with a second player lets you cover more of the stage at once, which helps against the boss spiders.
