Game description:

Metal Gear Solid – Special Missions (released as VR Missions in North America) is a tactical espionage expansion for the PlayStation, released in 1999 by Konami. Rather than following a story campaign, this standalone release focuses purely on stealth and combat mechanics through more than 300 challenging virtual reality training exercises.

The objective across most stages is to reach the goal undetected or eliminate targets using specific weapons. As a PlayStation title, the default controls use the D-pad for movement, Circle to punch or choke enemies, Square to use your equipped weapon, X to crouch or crawl, and Triangle to enter first-person view. You can cycle through your weapons and items using the L2 and R2 buttons.

Tips: Pay close attention to enemy vision cones on the Soliton Radar; mastering the timing of when to run versus when to crawl is essential for the sneaking missions. In the weapon mode levels, learn to quickly switch into first-person view for precise aiming, which is crucial for achieving the fastest completion times.
