Meikyuu Hunter G is a multi-directional run-and-gun shooter released by Data East in 1987 for the arcade. Serving as the original Japanese version of the game that would later be reskinned as The Real Ghostbusters in the West, this top-down action game has you blasting through labyrinths filled with monsters while picking up various elemental weapon upgrades.

How to Play

Navigate the maze-like stages and eliminate monsters to progress. You use two main actions: a standard shot and a spin shot. In the browser, press Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start. Use the Arrow Keys to move, press Z to shoot your primary weapon, and press X to use your spin shot.

Tips

• Your second button (spin shot) consumes energy when used, so save it for when you are completely surrounded by enemies.
• Pressing both action buttons together (Z and X) will fire a powerful combined beam.
• Look out for six different types of weapon power-ups that drastically alter your gun’s range and projectile speed.
