The Krion Conquest is a side-scrolling action-platformer developed by Vic Tokai and released for the NES in 1991. Drawing heavy inspiration from the classic Mega Man series, the game puts players in control of a wand-wielding witch named Francesca (originally Doropie in the Japanese release). Summoned to save the world from the robotic Akudama Empire, Francesca must jump and blast her way through challenging futuristic stages, using an arsenal of different elemental spells and abilities to defeat the enemy forces.
How to Play
Your objective is to navigate through the side-scrolling stages, defeat enemy robots, and conquer the boss at the end of each level. You can switch between various magical abilities, such as the standard shot, a bouncing ball, or a shield.
- Move: Arrow Keys
- Jump: Z
- Shoot / Charge Spell: X
- Select Spell: Shift
- Pause / Menu: Enter
Tips for Success
- Use the Broom: The Broom spell allows Francesca to fly freely for a limited time. Save it to bypass the most difficult platforming sections and avoid bottomless pits.
- Master the Fire Spell: The Fire spell shoots diagonally upward, which is incredibly effective against airborne enemies and bosses that hover above your normal line of fire.
- Charge Your Attacks: Just like the Blue Bomber, Francesca can charge her standard wand attacks to unleash a more powerful projectile. Always keep a shot charged when entering unknown areas.
