Konchuu Fighters is a Japan-exclusive insect-breeding RPG developed by Digital Kids and released for the Game Boy Color in 2002. You raise insects from larvae over a 20-day cycle, carefully choosing their food and participating in training mini-games to determine their adult form. Once fully grown, you can take your insects into battle using teams of three, with the ultimate goal of discovering and recording all 97 different bug species in the game's encyclopedia.
How to play
Guide your insect through its larval stage by managing its diet and completing training mini-games to prepare it for combat. Use the arrow keys to navigate menus, press Z to confirm selections, and X to cancel. Enter and Shift act as the Start and Select buttons.
