King of the Monsters is a giant monster fighting and wrestling game brought to the Sega Genesis in 1991 by SNK. You control towering kaiju as they battle across destructible Japanese cities, crushing buildings, fending off military attacks, and grappling with rival monsters to score a professional wrestling-style three-count pin.
How to play
The goal is to wear down your opponent’s health bar until they can no longer kick out of a pin before the timer expires. When two monsters collide, they initiate a grapple; quickly mash the attack buttons to overpower your rival and execute a powerful throw. Use the controls below to move, strike, and dash.

Tips
- To attempt a pin, stand over a fallen opponent and press the attack button. Their health needs to be fully depleted to keep them down for the three-count.
- The electrical barriers bordering the city cause heavy damage. Throwing an opponent into them is a highly effective way to drain their health.
- Don’t ignore the military jets and tanks. While small, their constant fire can interrupt your grapples and chip away at your health.
