Kid Klown in Night Mayor World is a 1993 platformer for the NES, developed and published by Kemco as the first entry in the Kid Klown series. It’s an American reskin of the Japan-only Mickey Mouse III: Balloon Dreams, released a few months earlier in 1992. In this version, Kid Klown’s family has been kidnapped by the evil magician Night Mayor, and he sets off through seven themed stages of Night Mayor’s world to rescue them.
How to play
Guide Kid Klown through each level using balloons as your all-purpose tool: throw them at enemies to attack, ride them to jump higher than normal, and use them to float safely across gaps or down from high ledges. Each of the seven main stages ends with its own bonus round where you can stock up on extra lives and energy. In the browser, the D-pad is mapped to the arrow keys, the A and B buttons to Z and X, and Start/Select to Enter/Shift.
