I.Q – Intelligent Qube (also known as Kurushi in Europe) is a mind-bending puzzle game developed by G-Artists and published for the PlayStation in 1997. Set in a dark, atmospheric void, you control a lone character running on a glass-like grid. Your task is to survive as massive blocks roll relentlessly towards you, forcing you to think quickly and lay traps before you are pushed off the edge or crushed.
How to Play
The objective is to clear advancing blocks by marking the floor and detonating the trap when a block rolls over it. You must clear standard cubes while capturing green Advantage cubes to create 3×3 explosive zones, and carefully avoid destroying the black Forbidden cubes which penalize you by collapsing rows behind you. In the browser emulator, use the Arrow Keys to move, the action buttons (Z, X, A, S) to mark and detonate traps, and Enter/Shift for Start/Select.
Tips
- Chain reactions are key: Use the green Advantage cubes to set off explosions that clear multiple blocks at once, saving time and valuable grid space.
- Count your steps: The blocks move in a rhythmic, predictable pattern. Learn the timing of their rolls so you can safely weave between them without getting squashed.
- Mind the black cubes: If you accidentally destroy a Forbidden cube, a row of the stage will fall away. Always plan your detonations carefully to avoid them.
