Game description:

The Hunt for Red October is a side-scrolling submarine shooter released for the NES in 1991. Based on the hit movie, you command the titular advanced Soviet submarine as you attempt to defect to the United States. Navigating treacherous underwater environments, you must fend off enemy forces using your torpedoes and surface-to-air missiles to survive the tense journey.

How to Play

Your objective is to navigate each stage while destroying enemy submarines, ships, and helicopters without running out of armor or time. Standard NES controls apply in the browser: use the Arrow keys to maneuver the sub, Z and X to fire torpedoes or missiles, and Enter to start the game.
