Hot Bubble Korea is a tile-matching puzzle arcade game developed by Tuning and released in 1998. Heavily inspired by the classic Puzzle Bobble formula, the game challenges players to shoot and match colored bubbles to clear out the screen before they descend too far. It is also notable for using character sprites seemingly borrowed from Prehistorik 2, and featuring reward images upon clearing stages.
How to Play
The objective is to clear the board by shooting colored bubbles from the bottom of the screen. When three or more bubbles of the same color connect, they pop and disappear. If the bubbles reach the bottom line, the game is over.
Controls:
- Insert Coin: Shift
- Start: Enter
- Move/Aim: Arrow Keys
- Shoot: Z or X
Tips
- Use the walls: Bouncing your shots off the side walls allows you to reach tricky angles and slip bubbles into tight gaps.
- Drop clusters: Instead of popping bubbles from the bottom up, look for matches higher up that will detach and drop large groups of unconnected bubbles at once.
