Gunner’s Heaven (also known as Rapid Reload) is a fast-paced run-and-gun action game developed by Media.Vision and released for the PlayStation in 1995. Often compared to Gunstar Heroes, it features intense side-scrolling arcade action, colorful anime aesthetics, and challenging boss battles across six stages.

How to Play

Choose either Axel or Ruka to blast your way through enemy waves and defeat the end-of-stage bosses. Each character is equipped with four distinct weapons that can be swapped on the fly. Use the Arrow keys to move, Z/X/A/S for the action buttons (to jump, shoot, and use the grappling hook), and Enter to start.

Tips

• Master the Grappling Hook: You can use your grappling hook to latch onto ceilings and walls. This is essential for dodging heavy enemy fire and navigating vertical platforming sections.
• Switch Weapons Frequently: Don’t rely on just one gun. Cycle through your four available weapons depending on the situation; homing and spread attacks are great for crowds, while focused fire is better for bosses.
