Goal Goal Goal is a fast-paced arcade soccer game developed by Visco and released for the Neo-Geo MVS platform in 1995. Unlike realistic sports simulators, it focuses on high-energy, pick-up-and-play action where you choose from 28 national teams and compete in a simplified World Cup tournament to defeat seven opposing teams.
How to Play
The game uses a simplified three-button control scheme typical of arcade sports titles. The objective is to outscore your opponent within the two-minute halves. The clock stops whenever the ball goes out of bounds. In your browser, use the arrow keys to move your players. Press Z to shoot or tackle, X to pass to a teammate, and C to execute long or homing passes. If a match ends in a draw, you will need to continue the game to enter a penalty shootout.
Tips
- Use the long pass (C button) strategically to quickly cross the field and bypass the opposing team’s defenders.
- Matches are short, so prioritize aggressive offensive plays and shooting over slow buildup passing.
- Each of the 28 national teams has different attributes for Shooting, Defense, and Speed; pick a team whose strengths match your playstyle.
