Gemini Wing (World, Bootleg) is an alternate arcade release of Tecmo’s classic 1987 vertical shoot ’em up. Players pilot a futuristic gunship through vibrant, insect-infested alien environments. Rather than using a traditional power-up system, you rely on catching colorful “gunpods” dropped by enemies. These pods trail behind your ship until activated, offering devastating limited-use weapons like wide beams, homing missiles, and screen-clearing fire.
How to Play
Survive the vertically scrolling stages and defeat the boss at the end of each level. In your browser, use Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start. Use the Arrow Keys to move your ship. Press Z to fire your primary weapon and X to unleash your currently equipped gunpod (the weapon trailing closest to your ship).
Tips
- Gunpods attach as a tail behind your ship and are used in the order you collected them (last in, first out). Sometimes it is better to avoid picking up a weak weapon if you want to save a powerful one for an upcoming boss.
- The 3-way shot and homing fire are generally the most reliable pods for quickly clearing screens of smaller enemies before they can swarm you.
