Freedom Force is an arcade-style shooter developed by Sunsoft and released for the NES in 1988. Stepping into the role of a counter-terrorist operative, players must navigate various environments to eliminate armed hijackers. The game challenges you to quickly react and shoot threats as they appear in windows and doorways, while strictly avoiding innocent hostages caught in the crossfire.
How to Play
Your objective is to shoot all terrorists on screen to advance through the stages without losing your health. While originally designed for the NES Zapper light gun, standard controls in this browser version are mapped as follows:
| Gamepad control: | ||
 | Player 1: | Player 2: |
| â | â | – |
| â | â | – |
| â | â | – |
| â | â | – |
| A | X | – |
| B | Z | – |
| SELECT | Shift | – |
| START | Enter | – |
Tips
- Watch your fire: Hostages will frequently appear in the same spots as enemies. Take a fraction of a second to confirm your target before shooting, as hitting a civilian will penalize your health.
- Shoot power-ups: Watch the screen for weapon icons. Shooting them will temporarily grant you the machine gun or grenade launcher, which are essential for clearing heavily populated areas quickly.
