Released in 1988 by Sunsoft for the NES, Freedom Force is a light-gun shooter that casts you as a counter-terrorist attempting to stop a hijacking. You are tasked with taking down armed terrorists while carefully avoiding innocent hostages who frequently appear in the crossfire.
How to Play
Your objective is to quickly identify and shoot terrorists before they can attack, without hitting the hostages. Because Freedom Force is an NES Zapper game, in the browser you simply use your mouse to aim the crosshair and left-click to shoot.
Tips
Watch out for enemies throwing grenades or firing projectiles; you can often shoot these out of the air to protect yourself. Additionally, pay close attention to the characters popping out of windows and doorways, as hostages can look similar to enemies at a quick glance, but shooting a hostage heavily penalizes your health.
