Flash Point is a 1989 arcade puzzle game by Sega that takes the classic Tetris formula and turns it into a level-based challenge. Instead of surviving an endless drop of blocks, your objective is to clear specific “flashing blocks” from pre-made structures across 100 distinct stages.
How to Play
Your goal on each stage is to clear any horizontal lines that contain the glowing, flashing blocks. Once all flashing blocks are eliminated, the stage is complete and you advance to the next puzzle. The arcade controls map to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys to move and soft-drop the falling tetrominos, and the Z and X keys to rotate them. Press Enter or Shift to insert coins and start.
Tips
- Focus your block placement on reaching and clearing the flashing blocks rather than just clearing standard lines; time and space are limited.
- Examine the pre-made structure at the start of each stage to plan your drops, as the flashing targets are often buried under layers of normal blocks.
