Game description:

Famista ’92 (short for Family Stadium ’92) is a classic 8-bit baseball sports game developed and published by Namco for the Nintendo Famicom in 1991. The seventh entry in Namco’s celebrated Family Stadium franchise, the game delivers fast-paced arcade baseball action featuring updated Japanese league team rosters, intuitive pitching and batting controls, and competitive retro diamond strategy.

How to Play

Select your team and take to the field in single-player against the computer or head-to-head against a friend. Balance pitching locations, swing timing, base stealing, and defensive positioning across nine innings to outscore your opponent.

Controls

  • Move / Aim Pitch & Swing: Arrow Keys
  • Swing Bat / Throw to Base: X (NES A button)
  • Bunt / Steal / Pitch Speed: Z (NES B button)
  • Start Game / Pause: Enter (Start)
  • Select Options: Shift (Select)

Gameplay Tips

  • Vary Pitch Selection: Change pitch speed and curve trajectories using directional inputs to keep batters off-balance throughout the ballgame.
  • Position the Batter: Adjust your batter’s position in the batter’s box prior to the pitch to better contact inside or outside pitches.
  • Fielding Throws: Hold the arrow key corresponding to the target base (Up for 2nd, Left for 3rd, Right for 1st, Down for Home) while pressing throw to make rapid defensive outs.
