Family School is a rare action-puzzle game released in 1987 for the Famicom (NES). Published by Tokyo Shoseki, it was never sold in retail stores; instead, it was distributed exclusively as a promotional corporate gift by the Japanese insurance company Dai-ichi Life.
How to play
The objective is to tend to a garden by watering plants to help fruit grow. Once the fruit is ripe, you must transport it into the correct baskets while avoiding animals that attempt to hinder your progress. The game also supports two-player cooperative play. The default NES controls are mapped to the keyboard: use the arrow keys to move, Z and X for the A and B buttons, and Enter and Shift for Start and Select.
Tips
- Since you must avoid animals while transporting the fruit, try to plan your routes around the garden before the fruit fully ripens.
- In two-player mode, coordinate with your partner so one player can water plants while the other focuses on safely gathering the grown fruit.
