F-X is an arcade bootleg of the 1986 vertical shoot ’em up S.R.D. Mission (also known as Repulse), originally developed by Kyugo. You pilot a spacecraft over an alien-overrun space station, blasting through waves of enemy ships and ground defenses while attempting to rescue stranded crew members.

How to Play

Use the Arrow Keys to maneuver your ship, press Z to fire lasers at airborne enemies, and press X to drop bombs on ground targets. In the browser emulator, use Shift to insert a coin and Enter to start.

Tips

• Watch your fire: You rescue crew members running on the station by flying over them, but your own weapons can accidentally kill them if you aren’t careful.
• Prioritize orange suits: Rescuing a crew member in an orange suit provides a power-up that upgrades your ship’s firepower.
• Bootleg differences: Because F-X is a pirated board of S.R.D. Mission, the core gameplay is identical to the original release, though it runs on slightly different hardware configurations.
