This Japanese release of Extreme-G brings the blistering futuristic racing of Probe Entertainment to the Nintendo 64 in 1998. You pilot heavily armed cyber-cycles through twisting, roller-coaster-like tracks in a high-speed battle for first place.

How to Play

Your objective is to win the race while surviving intense combat. Use the analog stick or D-pad to steer (mapped to arrow keys), A to accelerate (Z or X), and B to brake (Enter or Shift). Fire your primary weapons with the Z-trigger (often mapped to spacebar or shift) and use collected power-ups with the C-buttons to destroy opponents or protect your cycle.

Tips

• Master the Airbrakes: Utilizing your airbrakes properly on sharp turns allows you to drift and maintain higher speeds instead of just letting off the accelerator.
• Save Your Shields: Crashing into the track barriers drains your shields rapidly. Memorize track layouts to avoid scraping walls and save your shield energy for incoming enemy fire.
• Use the Turbo Boosts Wisely: You start with three nitro boosts per race. Save them for straightaways or steep uphill climbs to maximize their effectiveness.
