Eternal Champions is a 1993 fighting game developed by Sega for the Genesis. The game brings together nine martial artists from different time periodsโeach pulled from the exact moment before their historical deathโto compete in an ethereal tournament for a chance to rewrite their fates.
How to Play
Players battle one-on-one using a six-button combat system that features a unique “Inner Strength” meter, which is spent to perform special moves and regenerates over time. In the browser, the Sega Genesis controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the arrow keys for movement, Enter for Start, and the A, S, D, Z, X, and C keys for the six attack buttons (light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks).
Tips
- Keep a close eye on your Inner Strength meter; spamming special attacks will leave you unable to use them when you need them most.
- Each character’s stage has a hidden “Overkill” finishing move. To trigger one, you must defeat your opponent with a specific type of attack while they are positioned in a precise hazard zone on the stage.
