Developed by Copysoft in 1993, Skunny Kart brings console-style kart racing to DOS. You take the wheel as Skunny the squirrel or one of his animal rivals across pseudo-3D, Mode 7-style tracks. Built to emulate the era’s classic kart racers, it features grand prix tournaments, split-screen multiplayer, and an arsenal of items scattered across the track to help you sabotage the competition.
How to play
Navigate the tight corners and use items to secure first place across multiple cups. Steer and accelerate with the arrow keys, and use standard DOS action keys (such as Alt and Ctrl) to hop into turns and fire your weapons. Two players can share a single keyboard for head-to-head racing.
Tips
- Collecting coins scattered on the track increases your top speed, so prioritise grabbing them early in the race.
