Elemental Gearbolt is a distinctively ambitious 1997 light gun shooter developed by Alfa System for the PlayStation. Set in a sweeping science-fantasy world where magic and technology collide, it blends arcade-style shooting action with RPG elements, allowing players to level up their elemental weapons as they experience a beautifully animated, melancholic storyline.
How to Play
Your objective is to survive waves of enemies by aiming carefully and managing your different elemental weapons (Fire, Water, Earth) to exploit enemy weaknesses. Originally designed for the GunCon peripheral, you can play in the browser using standard PlayStation controls: use the arrow keys to move your aiming cursor, and the Z, X, A, and S keys (representing the face buttons) to shoot and switch elements. Enter and Shift act as Start and Select.
Tips
- Shoot the hidden chalices and environmental objects scattered throughout each level to find experience bonuses, which let you level up your weapons faster.
- Switch your elemental weapons frequently. Using the right element against specific enemies or bosses is critical for dealing maximum damage and conserving health.
