Game description:

Dr. Franken is a 1992 adventure-platformer for the Game Boy. You play as Franky, who must navigate a massive, maze-like mansion to find the scattered body parts of his girlfriend, Bitsy, and bring her back to life using a strange machine.

How to Play

The game is a non-linear exploration platformer. You will need to search the mansion to locate specific items and Bitsy’s missing parts. Standard Game Boy controls apply: use the D-pad to move, A to jump, and B to attack enemies. In the browser, the D-pad is mapped to the Arrow keys, A and B are mapped to Z and X, and Start is mapped to Enter.

Tips

  • The mansion’s layout is sprawling and complex. It helps to mentally note or physically map key locations and locked doors as you explore.
  • Patience is key during platforming sections; take your time to avoid taking unnecessary damage from traps and enemies.
