Game description:

Doki Doki SMB1 Club – Monika is a fan-made NES ROM hack of Super Mario Bros. developed by M26G, with sprite work by Valis Emma. This modification replaces the iconic plumber with Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club!, bringing the literature club president into the classic Mushroom Kingdom.

The core objective remains identical to the original game: reach the flagpole at the end of each level and rescue the Princess. However, Monika features unique physics, altering movement speed and jump height to create a fresh platforming experience. Use the D-pad to move, A to jump, and B to sprint or use fireballs (typically mapped to arrow keys, Z, and X in your browser).

Because of Monika’s custom jumping mechanics, you will need to relearn your timing for precise gaps and enemy bounces that you might have memorised from standard Mario gameplay.
