City Connection is a classic arcade driving-platformer released in 1985 by Jaleco. You control a constantly moving car on a multi-tiered highway, traveling to various international locations. The goal is to drive over every segment of the road to paint it white, all while avoiding oncoming traffic and obstacles.
How to Play
Your objective is to paint every section of the highway to advance to the next city. The controls are simple: use the arrow keys to steer and change direction. Press the Z button to jump over gaps or oncoming hazards, and the X button to fire oil cans to stun police cars. If you hit an obstacle or a police car, you lose a life.
Tips
- Focus on painting the bottom tiers of the highway first, as it is easier to drop down than it is to maneuver upwards when dodging fast-moving enemies.
- Save your oil cans for emergencies. Stunning a police car allows you to safely bump it off the screen for extra points.
- Watch out for the cats holding flagsโthey cannot be stunned by oil, so you must jump over them.
