Released in 1993 for the Sega Master System, California Games II expands on the classic extreme sports formula of its predecessor. This multi-event sports title takes you back to the West Coast to compete in a fresh lineup of events, including hang gliding, jet skiing, and snowboarding.
How to Play
The objective is to master each event, pull off complex tricks, and rack up high scores to take the top spot on the podium. You can practice individual sports to hone your skills or compete across all of them in a full tournament. For the Sega Master System, the default controls use the D-pad for steering and movementโmapped to the arrow keys in your browserโalongside Button 1 and Button 2 for actions, which are mapped to the Z and X keys. The Start or Pause function is typically mapped to the Enter key.
Tips
- Timing is everything in the snowboarding and jet skiing events; practice your turns to maintain speed without wiping out.
- When hang gliding, pay close attention to wind currents and your altitude to nail a safe landing and maximize your score.
